I’m going to highlight books on my to read list, and today it’s “End of the Series” books! Books that are completing trilogies. In this case.
The Rising by Kelley Armstrong
An addicting series that blends paranormal with science and teen adventures. I can’t wait to see about Chloe and Derek again!
Bitterblue by Kristin Cashore
This is not a complete trilogy following the same storyline or character, but a trilogy set in the same universe with events that are linked together. Love Cashore’s world building and her ability to make high fantasy so exciting.
Endlessly by Kiersten White
Evie is so fun, as is Kiersten White’s writing. I have to say I can’t remember all the details of this story, I may need a refresher before I start it!
Requiem by Lauren Oliver
I actually own this — a signed copy! And yet I haven’t finished it. Foolishly. I’m a little intimidated by the low reviews, but I should just suck it up and read it, right? I’m really excited to see what they do with the TV show.
Shades of Earth by Beth Revis
It’s like Battlestar Galactica for teens! Except for there are no cylons involved…yet! Who knows what will happen in the third book? Well, a bunch of people, like those who have read it! (Also, am I the only one who doesn’t like these new covers that much? The old ones are like magical!)
So, you can see why I’m so torn on what to buy when I go to Powell’s (an awesome bookstore in Portland, Oregon) tonight!
Speaking of finishing series, I need to start writing Promising Power! It’s in the outlining stages right now, but I’m focusing on Momentum, the sequel to Connection. Soon, my pretties. Soon!
What books on your To-Read list are ending a series for you? Are you going to be sad to see it go? Are you putting off reading it just to prolong the magic?
